Rooks crash out of FA Trophy

Lewes crashed out of the FA Trophy after losing their replay to lower league opposition tonight (Tuesday).

The Rooks lost 3-0 to Brentwood Town of the Ryman North division.

Lewes’ No 2 goalkeeper Pawel Szelemej, usually a deputy to Kieron Thorp, had a disastrous evening between the sticks as he conceded two penalties, both of which were converted.

And to add injury to insult, forward Nathan Crabb was stretchered off with a suspected hamstring injury.

Brentwood Town now travel to take on another Ryman Premier outfit in the shape of Kingstonian in the next round.
