Rooks v Thurrock game ON after Pan pitch inspection is cancelled

Today’s game between Lewes and Thurrock is ON after the pitch inspection planned for 9.30am today was cancelled due to a lack of overnight rain.

The club announced: ‘The proposed 9.30am pitch inspection has been cancelled as we’ve had no overnight rain and Rog (Roger Feltham, Lewes FC groundsman) says the pitch is “dry”. Game currently ON.’

However, those going to the game would be well advised to wear something waterproof as a sustained band of rain is due to settle over Lewes from 1pm. The game kicks off at 2pm.

Unfortunately though, Ringmer’s game at Rye United, due to be played at 3pm today, HAS been postponed due to a waterlogged Salts pitch.
