Tom Glandfield and Micky Turner represented the Lewes Wanderers Cycling Club at the Hounslow DW 100 mile time trial event.

The course is based near Farnham and can, on a favourable day, produce good times. A strong Westerly wind made conditions far from ideal, but this did not prevent the Lewes boys putting in some storming performances. Micky used the event as a warm up for his forthcoming twenty four hour ride, and was pleased with his time of 4:25:55.

Tom’s time (unconfirmed) was an incredible 3:51:52, a stunning twelve minute improvement on his previous Personal Best. This ride not only placed him highly in a class field but will shave nearly a minute of the standing club record of 3:52:40 held by Propel bike shop owner, Rob Pelham.

The overall winner was Andy Topham of High Wycombe CC in a time of 3:40:05.
