MULLETS SEND PEACEHAVEN DOWN

LIVELY ARUNDEL relegated Peacehaven at Mill Road on Saturday with a showy and merciless display of pacy football.

The Mullets outplayed the visitors in nearly every department and left Peacehaven facing life in County League Division Two next season. In doing so they poured cold water on their own trap-door worries.

With three key players missing for the away team, including regular keeper Gary Easton, Peacehaven were always struggling. Arundel's first came after 16 minutes. Jonathan Sutcliffe played in Danny McLaughlin from the left flank. McLaughlin beat his marker, skipped with twinkle toes into the box and side footed under the outstretched keeper.
