MUSSELS LUCKY OMEN?

SHAHEEN SADOUGH joined Shoreham last season to start enjoying his football again but even he could not have expected things would go so well. The team were down in the bottom half of the table when he signed, but two weeks ago, Mussels celebrated a return to Division 1 as they finished third in the table after a 14-match unbeaten run.

Mussels had just six points from six games when Sadough joined in September. He made his debut in a 4-0 defeat to BAT Sports in the FA Vase second qualifying round.

Sadough said: "It's gone a lot better than I thought it would go. When I joined we were third bottom but we managed to turn it around really well."
