Mussels striving to be like Mullets

SHOREHAM Football Club joint-manager Fred Proto wants his side to learn lessons from Arundel after they comfortably beat his Mussels side on Saturday.

Proto said: They are an excellent side and worked hard for the whole game.

"We've got some quality individual players but have to strive to be like them '” working as a team. Our work rate was okay but we needed to to be tighter to them for their goals. The first was a free header and we gave Matt Huckett too much space for their second.

"I wouldn't say we had an awful game but we didn't deserve anything from it, even though we had a bit more possession in the second half."

Mullets' Scott Tipper had already headed an earlier Matt Huckett free kick over, when from the same position, on 16 minutes, Tipper met Huckett's kick with a powerful downward header which beat Shoreham keeper Ronan Callaghan.
