New horse brings owners point to point win

THE Grissell family has been involved in racing for many years, with Gardie Grissell holding a licence at Brightling and sending out winners under National Hunt Rules.

His wife Diana, herself a prolific point to point rider, ran a highly successful point to pointing yard there parallel to the racing operation but has since taken over the National Hunt licence, sending out four winners in 2008/9.

Earlier this month she saddled Notmorebrandy to finish third at Fontwell.

Racegoers at Parham's recent point to point meeting were treated to a fine win by one of the horses trained by Rose (25). Badgers Cove was a particularly special win, ridden by Phil Hall in the Latilla-Campbell Open Maiden Race.
