New look course better for everyone

THE Crawley and Horsham Point to Point has been held at Parham for more than half a century, but visitors to this year's meeting on Saturday will find it a little bit different.

For the first time in its history, the racecourse will be reversed, and horses will run in an anti-clockwise direction, with a new paddock and tradestand area, easier access and better viewing.

The meeting will start with Pony Racing at 12.30pm, giving the younger enthusiasts a taste of racing at a young age. Two races, one for small ponies and one for bigger ones, will be run under strict rules, before the main racing of the day begins.

The ever popular parade of the Crawley and Horsham hounds will also take place during the afternoon.
