In Division 2 of the Parker Building Supplies East Sussex Cricket League Newhaven 1st Team were at home to Tunbridge Wells Borderers 1st Team.
Newhaven won the toss & decided to bat. On a wicket giving plenty of carry for the quicker bowlers,
Newhaven struggled but thanks to James Woods (35) and Daryl Tullett (24) posted a score of 115 all out.
Excellent bowling from William Edwards 4 for 14 and Jonathan Freeman 4 for 36 did the damage.
When Borderers batted early on they were reduced to 8 for 3 and at that stage it was “game on” thanks to 2 wickets from Ian Robinson and 1 from Tullett but with Callum Wood top scoring with 71 Borderers got hom at 117 for 6 winning by 4 wickets. Tunbridge Wells Borderers 30 points and Newhaven 6.

Their donation of £450 assists the club in providing opportunities for children and adults to play cricket. The money goes towards providing equipment for practice sessions as well as match day expenses, for example, pitch fees”.
