Nicely dressed- shame about the performance

SUSSEX Colts disappointed in the south-east qualifier.

After good performances by all the team in the Colts championship, the expectations were high.

But the team did not do themselves justice and finished seventh overall. Junior coach and organiser Alan Covey said: "Surrey once again proved too strong, but home team Suffolk had a good morning, as did Essex. We left ourselves far too much to do at lunch."

It was not all doom and gloom, though, as Ashley Rees finished seventh overall with a 73 and 74, and Aaron Lansberry had a creditable 74 and 75.

"Adam Galbraith had a 74 in the afternoon, and if there was a prize for it we would have won best-dressed team award," said Covey.
