Battle as it is ‘Then & Now’ on show at museum

BATTLE Photographic Society, in collaboration with the Battle and District Historical Society and the Battle Museum of Local History, will be holding a photographic print Exhibition entitled “Then and Now” at Battle Library, 7 Market Square (opposite the Fire Station) from 21 March to 18 April, 2015.

The library is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 09:30 and 17:00 hours (to 18:30 hours on Tuesdays and Fridays).

Battle and District Historical Society and the Battle Museum of Local History are providing photographs of Battle in bygone years. These will be paired with prints specifically photographed by many Battle Photographic Society members to show the same locations as they are today.

Some shops in the High Street have retained the same façade whilst adapting the building for modern use; other sites have changed completely. The paired photographs will be displayed side by side in the library.

Everyone is welcome to visit the Exhibition and entry will be free.
