SLIDESHOW: memories of Horsham FC’s Queen Street
As Horsham FC seem set to move to a new, permanent ground in the town we look back at the Hornets’ old ground in Queen Street for one of the most important games in recent history.
The 1-1 draw between Horsham and Swansea in the FA Cup 2nd Round on November 30 2007 was probably best known for the heavy rain that nearly caused the game to be called off.
However, thanks to lots of plastic sheeting it went ahead and was even televised as hundred of fans packed the ground.
In the end the 1-1 draw gave home fans plenty to celebrate.
Swansea ended Horsham’s dream in the replay with a 6-2 win.
