Summer fun was kids’ stuff in 1988

As years go, 1988 was a good one.

It was the year Rowan Atkinson launched the first Comic Relief, golfer Sandy Lyle became first British US Masters winner, and tiny Wimbledon beat mighty Liverpool to win the FA Cup.

In Mid Sussex, children had no excuse to bellow “I’m bored!” thanks to a programme of summer activities organised by the Mid Sussex Play Scheme Association.
