In July, we told you about their cricket and swimming squads and this week it’s the turn of the footballers.

Held at Oathill School, the match was part of the English Schools national six-a-side tournament. Harlands were no strangers to the tournament, having represented Mid Sussex the year before.

The boys won all six of their games, scoring 11 goals and not conceding any.

They went on to play the Burgess Hill area winners to decide which school would represent Mid Sussex in the finals. Does anyone know if they won?

When it came to netball, the school to beat was Oakmeeds, in Burgess Hill.

This picture shows the girls of the under 16 team who had just proved themselves queens of the court.

They beat rivals from seven other local schools to win the regional finals in the preliminary round of the National Schools netball tournament.

Oakmeeds went through to the next round along with the Millais school, from Horsham, who were runners-up.
