Oak aggrieved by amount of injury-time

MILE OAK FC were frustrated that they failed to take all three points home from East Grinstead on Saturday after they conceded an equaliser five minutes into injury-time.

Oak boss Anthony Whittington said: "There wasn't a trainer on in either half and we weren't wasting time when we were winning. I don't know where the referee got all the added time from.

"We were unlucky not to get three points. East Grinstead is a difficult place to go and we defended really well. They will probably feel they deserved a draw but I felt we did enough defending to earn the 2-1 win."

Grinstead equalised after 95 minutes of play when Oak keeper Ashley Walker dropped a corner and, after a goalmouth scramble, Drew Cooney fired the loose ball home, via Oak defender Steve Porter.
