On the ball in cup clash

WORTHING College's ladies' football team are through to the last eight of the British Colleges' Cup, following a 5-0 victory against Queen Mary's College then a 6-0 win against Chichester.

In the match against Queen Mary's, the first half saw some of the best passing and movement the side have produced all year, which saw them cruise into a 3-0 lead at half time.

Queen Mary's tried to get back into the game in the second half but Worthing raised the tempo for a second time, securing two more goals. Player of the match was Jane Childs, who scored a hat trick.

This secured the college a vital place in the last 16 when they took on Chichester College.
