Young and old of all abilities were welcome to join the camp at the Lewes club and they came in their masses. Thanks to Southdown having 16 tennis courts, a hockey pitch and incredible spacious grounds, the club and coaching team were ready to make it a great week for everyone who attended, knowing just how tough the past few months have been.

The week was a brilliant success with children aged four to 14 playing tennis for their first time and loving it, running around the courts and loving it.

Every day the camp began with an active warm-up and which led on to a different tennis theme with fun challenging drills and competitions. At the end of each day the children were excited to play in tennis team games which were followed by prize giving.

One of the highlights of the week was seeing so many children searching every inch around the courts looking for chocolate treats then passing them on to their new friends.

Southdown Sports Club now look forward to their next tennis camp in half-term week. See www.
