Although each of the past two sailing seasons have now been hit by the Covid restrictions, Bexhill Sailing Club’s executive committee have sought ways to get members out at every opportunity.

Now the latest meeting has led to a four-step plan, following the government’s planned easing of restrictions, which will commence on March 29.

Vice-commodore John Stebbing said: “The week leading up to Easter weekend will require members to dust down their boats and sails , stretch their muscles and get ready for the ocean.

“Initially the clubhouse will not be useable for changing, but we had that experience last year and all coped well.

Bexhill Sailing Club has enthusiastic members and all will pull together to enjoy the water once again, while remaining compliant with the Covid rules to protect all concerned and their families.

“So members – check your emails , and start to get ready!”
