This year's renewal of the Chichester Observer Nursery Handicap at Goodwood was memorable for jockey Laura Coughlan - it gave her a first winner at the racecourse.

She rode 18/1 shot Wholelotafun to a surprise victory in the race - the annual contest that Goodwood name in honour of the paper's support for their racing - for trainer JS Moore. Sadly, of course, there were no crowds there to see the race this year - normally it is held on the Friday evening opener to the bank holiday weekend, a night well-atrended and rounded off with fireworks. Before the race Observer sports editor Steve Bone judged Babajan the best turned out, earning a cash prize for the groom. See more from Goodwood, including news from the Celebration Mile, on this website over the weekend. Pictures from the race are by Sam Stephenson for Goodwood racecourse.
