Picture special - Hastings and Lewes athletes are marvels over a mile

The event, which was hosted by Hastings, had a massive response with 125 athletes from the two clubs taking part over the course of the weekend. Entrants had from midnight on Friday/Saturday until 11.59pm on Sunday to complete their timed one-mile runs at a flat location of their choice.They then uploaded their runs from their GPS devices to the race website which then calculated the live scores and rankings as the weekend progressed. Lewes AC took overall honours in both the men’s and women’s team results and won the competition overall by seven points.
