The feature contest of the afternoon is £10,500 Handicap Hurdle at 2.50pm over two miles. The exciting Jamacho is unbeaten in his last four starts, which included a smart success in a warm event at Stratford last time out. Brian Hughes has ridden him to three of his last four wins and is back on board for this assignment.

Magic Dancer boasts plenty of smart form in his back catalogue, which includes an excellent second in the Betfair Hurdle last season. He was well-beaten in the same event at Newbury earlier this year, but returns off a break and looks sure to go well given this steep drop in grade.

Get Back Get Back is unexposed having scored at Uttoxeter in July, before struggling when stepped up in company at Market Rasen last month. He clearly needs to improve on that effort, but remains unexposed. Local trainer Gary Moore saddles Vision Clear who was third at Fontwell in August and is capable of further improvement here. Foreign Secretary, eighth on his first start for Dr Richard Newland at Market Rasen last month, is another to note.

The £7,273 Juvenile Hurdle (1.15pm) is another interesting event which opens the card. Prince Percy was second on his first start over hurdles at Market Rasen in July and should improve on the back of that effort. However, he could have his work cut out to defeat Calidus Mirabilis who has his first start for Amy Murphy. Bought for 17,000gns out of Joseph O’Brien’s yard, he has run three respectable races over hurldes and looks sure to go well here.

Others to consider include Treaty Of Dingle who makes his debut over obstacles for Sean Curran, having been purchased for 4,000gns out of Hughie Morrison’s yard whilst Colin Tizzard saddles newcomer Bourbali.

The two-mile £8,035 Handicap Chase at 3.50pm is another interesting event. Gary Moore saddles course and distance winner Darebin and shaped well on his reappearance at Fontwell last month. However, he could have his work to cut out to defy Kiruna Peak who is unbeaten in her last two starts. She bolted up by four and a half-lengths at Kelso last time out, backing up a smart win at Southwell in August. She races off the same mark here just four days later and can make her presence felt again.

Jaytrack Parkhomes needs to improve on his effort at Newton Abbot earlier this month when only sixth and is another to consider along with Idliketheoption who was well-beaten at Fontwell on his latest start.

1.15pm Calidus Mirabilis

1.45pm Enforecement

2.20pm Highway One

2.50pm Jamacho

3.20pm Hidden Depths

3.50pm Kiruna Peak

4.20pm Overrated Passtime
