The feature contest is the Group Two Ladbrokes Celebration Stakes (3.35pm). Carrying a prize fund of £60,000, the mile event is live on ITV Racing and features a number of exciting prospects among the seven-runner field.

Godolphin’s Benbatl (9/4) heads the betting as he makes his eagerly anticipated comeback for Saeed bin Suroor. The six-year-old boasts a Dubai Turf, Grosser Dallmayr Preis - Bayerisches Zuchtrennen, Ladbrokes Stakes, Joel Stakes and Hampton Court Stakes on his glittering CV and is targeting a phenomenal 11th victory from 22 career starts. Not seen since finishing a fine third in the Saudi Cup in February, he was preparing for a tilt at the Dubai World Cup before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and despite having to carry a penalty, he should make his presence felt here.

Regal Reality (5/2) looked back to something like his best when running out an easy winner of a Group Three event at Salisbury earlier this month and ground conditions look sure to suit.

Duke Of Hazzard (7/2) has a remarkable record at Goodwood having won three of his four starts of the Sussex Downs. The four-year-old finished a cracking second in the Group Two Lennnox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and was clearly not at his best when a well-beaten eighth behind Regal Reality at Salisbury.

Century Dream (9/2) captured the Group Three Diomed Stakes at Newbury in June before running with credit when fifth in the Group One Prix d'Ispahan at Chantilly last time out. Urban Icon (7/1), a good second in handicap company at Glorious Goodwood and Sir Busker (7/1), who finished a narrow second at York on his latest start, are others to note. Last year’s Solario Stakes winner Positive (11/1) completes the seven-runner field.

The £45,000 Group Three Ladbrokes March Stakes (3.00pm) is staged over a mile and six furlongs and is also live on ITV. A small but select field of four go to post which are headed by Cabaletta (5/4) for Roger Varian. She chased home subsequent Lonsdale Cup heroine Enbihaar in the Lillie Langtry Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and takes on Subjectivist (11/8) who finished a good third in the Gordon Stakes on the Sussex Downs before finishing seventh in the Group Two Great Voltigeur Stakes at York last week.

The four-runners are completed by Celtic Art (6/1) who was sixth in a handicap at Glorious Goodwood and recent Ascot winner Table Mountain (10/1).

The other Group event on the card is the £35,000 Group Three Ladbrokes Prestige Stakes. Pomelo (6/4) made a striking impression on debut when annexing a Newbury maiden by five lengths, whilst Prado (7/1) looks to build on a stylish debut success at Salisbury.

Happy Romance (10/3) who enjoyed a big payday at York last week and Isabella Giles (7/2) who finished a good fourth in Group Three company at Ascot are others to note.
