Hot on her heels are the U15 Harriers Sprint Girls, four of which are running faster times at a comparable age. This was the head to head that every one was waiting for!

The girls are all ranked in the top eight in the South East came to be queened at the short sprint distance.

Only an official mistake prevented the four favourites from lining up in the four lane final , three of which were taken up with Worthing Harriers after the quartet had posted the fastest times of the day.

It was Georgie Hook that had to sit it out despite protests from the Harrier coach. Beth Close the oldest of the four finally secured the Gold despite Sophie Spinner a year younger breaking the County Best Performance time in the heats.
