Pagham make progess in cup

Bosham were our only local county league side to pick up three points - but Pagham tasted success in the cup.

Two goals from Hammond and one from Giambelardini eased the Reds to victory at Uckfield.

It was Frank Antony's team's first win since before Christmas and lifted them back into the top six in division three.

Pagham overpowered Littlehampton, who play a division below them, with three goals in each half in their Brighton Charity Cup clash at the Sportsfield.

Wimble, Frangou and Martin scored two each, with the hosts managing just one goal in reply.

In the same competition, Chichester City United's woes continued as they went down 3-0 at Steyning.

Adie Girdler's men were one down within a minute and conceded another two in five minutes just before the hour.

In division one, selsey made it five games without defeat but will be kicking themselves that it was only one point they gained from their home game against Hailsham.

Ross Woolf and Tom Ridley were their scorers for the second week running as they came from behind to lead 2-1, but Hailsham grabbed an equaliser five minutes from the end.

In division two, Midhurst's winless run went on as they lost 3-0 at home to Peacehaven to slip to tenth in the table.

There was bad news, too, for Sidlesham, who let in two in the first 13 minutes to lose 2-0 at Westfield.
