The event is for under 8s and Partridge Green tennis club won 60 out of 63 matches in the event held at Horsham tennis club in the summer.
Mini Red level matches are played on a badminton size court with sponge balls. Their coach Michelle Collins said: “I was so proud of them all, they have worked really hard to be competing so well at this level. Mini tennis is such a great way to learn at such a young age.”

Hide AdMichelle also said that this summer saw record numbers of under 10’s joining in summer camps she runs, she said “ I go regularly into primary schools to promote tennis during term time, setting up tennis on the playground. I teach up to 30 children skills needed to play tennis, it certainly inspires them to take up the game, and of course Andy Murrays success, and now others such as Johanna Konta doing so well encourages the kids to play.”
