Penguin pack the punch in local junior derby

PENGUIN Hockey Club Juniors defeated Worthing's Tigers 3-0 in a well-matched encounter at the Leisure Centre.

Afterwards Terry Antram of Penguin declared: "A great game to watch and be involved in, and it looks good for both clubs with the junior development players moving up into the senior sides."

Jamie Bowley's first-time strike after a short corner was laid off confirmed Penguin's bright start in the 10th minute but then Worthing dominated for long spells.

The second half was more evenly balanced and end-to-end but it was Penguin who found the target twice more, both from goalmouth melees, with Alex Cox and Tom Pocock the scorers.
