Philippe leaps to trampolining glory

A young Bognor trampolinist shone when he appeared at the English championships in Coventry.

Philippe Newtown Young came fourth in the individual category for 13 and 14-year-old boys.

The next day, he competed for the south east team and they got the bronze medal.

Newton Young was joined by other members of his club, Crawley-based Flitecrew, at the event.

It was a great weekend and Newtown Young learnt a lot. He would like to thanks all his coaches and team-mates for the help and support he has received.

His next competition will be the club competition on December 11 at Crawley and he will start the new year with NDP competition at level seven at Gillingham on February 5.
