YESTERDAY we asked you to name the seven Englishmen to win the World Snooker Championships since 1977.

This year’s championships appears up for grabs after World Number.1 Mark Selby crashed out, but we asked if you can name the seven English winners since the event moved to the Crucible in 1977.

They are: John Spencer: (1977); Steve Davis: (1981, 83, 84, 87, 88, 89); Joe Johnson: (1986); John Parrott: (1991); Ronnie O’Sullivan: (2001, 04, 08); Peter Ebdon: (2002); and Shaun Murphy: (2005).
