They welcomed Old Elthamians to Roundstone Lane for what was their first home clash of the campaign and ended with a 19-16 success.
Last weekend proved to be a tricky one for Worthing as they slipped to a 31-18 defeat at Clifton.
However, Raiders managed to come out on top in what was a tightly-contested affair this time around.
Worthing found themsleves ahead on eight minutes as Sean O’Hagan’s fine pass found Alex Wilcockson who bundled his way over the try line.
O’Hagan then kicked over the conversion as Worthing opened up a seven-point lead inside ten minutes.
Thomas White registered the visitors first points of the afternoon with a successful penalty kick on 14 minutes.
Worthing were then awarded a penalty of their own with O’Hagan converting to see Raiders open up a seven-point lead once again.
However, another two penalties from White saw Elthamians claw themsleves back into the clash as they trailed 10-9 at the interval.
Worthing registered the first points of the second period thanks to O’Hagan’s penalty on 52 minutes meaning they now lead 13-9.
With 20 minutes to go the visiting side took the lead for the first time.
A fine jinking run from Christopher Surman saw him break clear and he found Kristian Cook who went over.
White made no mistake with the conversion Worthing trailled 16-13 with time fast running out.
But Raiders were not to be denied as two penalty conversions in the final 12 minutes from O’Hagan ensured Worthing won 19-16.
Worthing travel to Barnes for their third league fixture next Saturday.
