It was Raiders’ penultimate home game of the season and head coach Kieron Dawson was far from pleased with the showing.

He said: “We had a chance to give a large crowd something to cheer about but it’s been a really inconsistent season from ourselves.

“However, our home form, as a whole, has been good and we would have hoped to win this.

“We just did not play anywhere near as well as we could have done and we were punished.”

Dawson was disappointed with the players’ attitude in the game.

He said: “It’s always nice to win in front of a home crowd but it looked as if the players were not bothered.

“You can talk about technical parts of this game but, if you do not bust a gut to get back in and defend, results like this will be a frequent occurrence.”
