REBELS GO THIRD

HAVING heard a lot about the dynamic Worthing team that manager Alan Pook has assembled this season, I went to Woodside Road for Tuesday night's game against the side next to bottom in the table expecting to be royally entertained.

What transpired was, in all honesty, a little disappointing. True, the three points that regained third place were never seriously in danger, but I '” and probably a fair proportion of the crowd '” would have expected a little more.

Pook experimented with Ben Carrington at right-back, clearly not his his best position and played Mark Pulling in front of him.

It's common knowledge that Carrington is one of Rebel's greatest attacking threats, so to leave him back when really he should be going forward more seemed just a little strange to most of the 288 crowd.
