RED ON ALERT AS PETER CELEBRATES HAT TRICK

PETER Walters has been selected for the third year running to represent England in the International Mounted Games Championship to be held in Belgium in July.

The England team has won these championships for the last three years, competing against teams from all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa and several European countries.

Peter (23), who lives in Midhurst, has ridden for Sussex for a number of years at both Junior and Senior level. With his pony Red, he rode in the winning England team in the 2005 and 2006 World Championships held in Wales and Sweden respectively.

Peter said: "I'm really looking forward to competing in Belgium with Red in July. We have a strong team, with three of us from last year and two excellent newcomers. Our trainer, Malcolm Trevor-Jones from Shropshire is also, like me, looking to make it a personal hat-trick."
