Riding to help hospice

TWO West Sussex riders are undertaking a Western-style sponsored horse ride across the South Downs later this month to highlight the need to support Chestnut Tree House '“ the only children's hospice in West Sussex.

Kerry Saunders and her partner Richard Kennard of Findon want to raise as much money as possible for the hospice, near Arundel, which undertakes such vital work for children and young adults with life limiting illnesses.

The couple have been so inspired by the work done at the hospice that they will ride from Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire to Stanmer Park, Brighton, stopping off at bed and breakfast places along the way, their stays sponsored by Richard's company, Sussex Manures.

Their ride will take place from August 28-31 and they have sent out a clear message '“ please support them with donations for the hospice.

"No amount is too small. The hospice relies to a significant extent on fundraising and whatever amount people can donate, large or small, will be gratefully received. This is a local charity which helps West Sussex and deserves our support," said Kerry.

Please support them and the hospice by donating through Justgiving, a secure site.
