On Saturday they face East Grinstead at home, who only finished four points behind them in second place last season. On Sunday they are at home again in the third round of the ECB National Club Championship against Surrey Championship leaders Reigate Priory.

Following their abandoned game against Billingshurst, captain Matt Davies said: “The positive thing last weekend was none of the teams around us gained points. It will certainly be a tough test.”

Roffey will be without both Chris Webb and Leigh Harrison. Davies added: “We have second team players to replace them so we will be ok.”
