Rooks close on playoffs

Gary Thorne conceded a bizarre own goal in the opening few minutes and Andy Drury got the second before half-time after a goalkeeping error. Paul Booth netted the third and Jamie Cade the fourth.

Ringmer were 2-1 winners at Eastbourne United in the County League division one while Crowborough were held 1-1 at Shoreham.

Seaford lost 3-2 at home to Sidlesham in the Division Two Cup while in the league Wealden were neaten 3-1 at Midhurst & Easebourne and Peacehaven lost 5-1 at home to Crawley Down. Saltdean took a point in a 2-2 draw at Steyning.
