Rooks' Drury, Kennett hit by injury

LEWES Football Club manager Steve King is desperately trying to bring in some new faces as an injury crisis has ripped out the heart of his team.

Midfielder Paul Kennett is sidelined with a hamstring problem for three to four weeks and Andy Drury will be missing with the same injury for a fortnight.

Paul Booth's knee injury will also sideline him for another fortnight and Lewis Hamilton is suffering from a haematoma on his back.

King said: 'Lewis has been starting games but he stiffens up and we have to bring him off.

'It's a major worry and I have lost four certain starters from my squad.

'My phone is red hot at the moment as I try to get players in with such a busy programme ahead.

'We go to Fisher on Saturday and are at home to Eastbourne Borough on New Year's Day '“ it doesn't get any easier.

'

Michael Johnson is non-contract and has done alright for us so far. We're currently taking a look at each other.'
