Rooks stumble to first home defeat

A below par Lewes went down 2-1 at home to Hampton & Richmond at the Dripping Pan on Saturday.

Goals from Graham Harper, on six minutes, and Stuart Lake, eight minutes into the second half, put the visitors 2-0 up and a late Paul Booth penalty given for a foul on Andy Drury was too little too late.

Captain Steve Robinson had earlier been dismissed for two yellow cards.

The defeat was Lewes's first home loss of the season.

The Rooks' will look to bounce back with a win at Horsham in the Sussex Senior Cup tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
