Fadera, who is 17 and from Elmer, is a member of Bognor RFC Colts Academy and he has captained Sussex U18s.

He is in his last year at Hurstpierpoint College after being given a scholarship to carry on with his rugby and when he is at home from boarding school he trains at The Arena Sports Centre in Bognor.

He was with Harlequins’ junior set-up until an ankle injury saw him leave the programme.

Fadera’s grandmother, Penny Hutchinson, says the whole family are proud of his achievements so far. Penny, who works at Robins Row insurance brokers in Bognor, added: “He began his sporting life playing football but his growth led him to try rugby at the age of 14.

“He was invited to the U18 London & South East trial for an assessment day in January with following matches against the other divisions in February.

“In each game the players were watched and graded and eventually the selection was made. He has already had unconditional offers from Brunel University as well as others and is making his mind up on which path to follow. All of us are very proud and we wish him every success.”
