After promotion from division one of the Hampshire League at the end of the last season, the transistion to life at London three south west level has proved difficult.

Saturday’s visit to Basingstoke was the latest outing that proved too much for them as they went down 59-5.

It was their seventh straight defeat and left them bottom of the table with just two points so far.

But everyone at the club is trying hard to turn things around and many are convinced better times are just around the corner.

Their poor points tally so far does not leave them stranded at the bottom of the league table.

Millbrook and United Services – two of the sides they used to do battle with in Hampshire one – have registered just one win each, suggesting it is not just Bognor who have found the jump in levels tough to get used to.
