A nine-try 51-24 win away at Gillingham Anchorians on Saturday has meant they can lift the crown at home against Old Dunstonians on March 21.

The Green and Whites secured promotion last week and after a couple of low-scoring games coach Nick Stocker was delighted to see them take a step towards their 100-try target.

He said: “We did ask them to raise the tempo of the game and pick up the quality of their execution and they did that and put down some excellent tries.

“Around the 55-minute mark we played some outstanding rugby and the support play left and right was superb.

“We had given ourselves an internal target after sealing promotion of scoring 100 tries this season and we now have 94 with three games to go.

“We are trying to build ourselves up for the cup final on May 9 - raise the intensity and pick up the play for the cup final and already for next year.”
