Heath minis are at their best

Haywards Heath RFC Minis were at Harlequins on Saturday morning to compete in their community curtainraiser cup against clubs from across the south of England.

They travelled with two squads per age group, totalling nearly 150 players, and were successful in winning at every age group, with many of the 2nd teams finishing runners up. It was a fantastic achievement and the winners will now be invited back to play in the “best of the best” grand final next March.

Most players and parents stayed on to then watch Harlequins play Gloucester in the afternoon, when former Heath players Billy Twelvetrees, Joe Marler and Luke Wallace were all in action.

At half time the young players and coaches were invited to show off their prized trophies in a lap of honour on the pitch.

A memorable day was had by all and our photo shows Brett Wharton, HHRFC Mini Chairman, with some of the mini coaches, players and trophies won.
