Coach Jody Levett had made a number of changes to his unbeaten table topping match squad but it was business as usual for the home side with a 41- 0 victory on a very wet pitch.

Four tries in the first half, three of which were converted by Heath’s geriatric scrumhalf Alex Meredith, meant Heath were able to turn around at the break with a 26-0 lead. Whilst the second half was more competitive, Heath eased to victory with a further three tries to record a final score of 41- 0. Heath’s pack were dominant throughout and the backs looked very dangerous every time they had the ball, notwithstanding some gutsy defence from Sussex Police. Tries were scored by Max Drage ( 2 ), Lucas, Dickson, Fergusson, Duncan, and Meredith with an outstanding performance from young full back Jack Best winning him the Man of the Match award underlining the quality of players Heath can call on to make the transition from the Colts section to senior rugby .

Heath will be hoping that over the Christmas break Club physio Jade Markwick is able to work her magic with the players to enable Coach Levett to pick from a full squad for the next match on the 3rd January which is the much anticipated Bob Rogers Sussex Cup match to be played at home against old rivals Uckfield RFC - a large new year crowd is expected at Whiteman’s Green.
