Breach, the former Chi junior who now plays for England and Harlequins, is the perfect role model for the women at Oaklands Park to learn from. She won the European sevens with England under-18s in 2014 and 2015 and managed the talent development group side against Canada.

The former sprint hurdler started playing rugby at the age of six at Chichester RFC and it was a delight for the club to welcome her back to her old stomping ground.

Pictures from the Chichester RFC ladies' training session with Jess BreachThe session was designed to enable Chi’s women to gain unique tips and skills from Breach and it was a success. She provided a range of drills and circuits for the ladies in their handling and passing of the ball. It showed how the ladies are improving their determination and further serves to highlight what a fantastic team they make.

The ladies are not only as a team, but also a family. They showed their skills and fitness, afterwards thanking Breach for her time and incredible coaching.

Plans are already in place to have Breach back when the season starts and the ladies start playing league matches. Overall, the ladies always prove their worth in training and Thursday’s training session was a great example. Coaches say it is a joy to see the players play and train.

Chichester Women were formed last year by Jules Boyce , who was determined to highlight that women’s rugby deserves its recognition.

That is exactly what has been happening and the ladies, with their incredible drive and strength, have been practicing throughout the year, organising friendlies and improving their skills and knowledge with training sessions and brilliant coaching.

Chichester Ladies are always seeking new players to join the growing team. Whether you have played rugby before and are thinking about returning, or if you have never picked up a rugby ball before, Chichester will welcome you at Oaklands Park.
