Raiders are ninth in National 2 South, after a hard-fought 22-20 win over Redingensians Rams on Saturday, and have their sights on a top-six finish.

Worthing are ten points behind sixth-placed Old Elthamians with 11 games of the season remaining and Buoy said: “The top six is the aim and we will also look to take the scalps of two or three of the top sides, which is something we’ve always been good at.”

Raiders make the trip to third-from-bottom Southend Saxons, who they lost 20-11 to earlier in the season, on Saturday and Buoy said: “It’s going to be a tough game and the conditions are going to suit them.

“We know that it will be a real battle and, with the conditions, it will be quite a forward-orientated game.

“We’ll have a strong squad available, though, after a brilliant performance against Redingensians on Saturday.”
