Teenage striker Clack out to make an impression at Horsham

The 17-year-old from Midhurst has made his first appearance for Ryman League outfit Horsham and hopes to get more run-outs before the season’s end. He is also in great form for Chichester College, with his goals helping them to the semi-final of the Sussex Schools Cup.

Striker Clack has had trials with a number of professional clubs and has high hopes of making a career of the sport.

He has been at Horsham since he was 14, when he switched from Midhurst & Easebourne, and after being an unused sub against Lowestoft, he made his first-team bow in a Brighton Charity Cup game at Peacehaven & Telscombe, where his side won on penalties. He has also played for Sussex schools.

Clack said: “It was great to make my Horsham debut and now I want to play more games for them. Getting picked up by a pro club is my ultimate aim.”

He is on a football coaching level one and two course at Chichester College.

He started playing at the age of eight, spending much of his time firing shots at older brother Jamie, a goalkeeper who has been on Arundel’s books.
