Runners piece it together and hit Top Gear in Jigsaw Run

Near perfect weather conditions helped make the fifth annual Jigsaw Run the most successful yet with almost 400 runners taking to the track.

Runners took in two laps of Dunsfold Park’s road and runway, past the resident Boeing 747 and crossing the famous BBC Top Gear track in the annual 10k race.

Following a warm up from Rob Dale of Nutbourne Vineyards Run, Jigsaw patron, Eagle Radio presenter Kim Robson started the event.

The first male home was Daniel Hull in 34min 23 sec, while first female was Sophie Crumly in 37-52.

Horsham Jogger Matthew Anstee Brown finished 10th overall in 36-40 with Paul Oakley behind in 11th (36.42).

Other times: Stuart Adesilu 40.40, Samantha Smith 44.27, Val Purnell 47.10, Robert Willison 47.31, Clive Walker 48.35, Amanda Sullivan 51.46, Finbarr Cotter 55.07, Emma Whyman 56.48, Pip Mortimer 63.24, Paul Chandler 65.38, Clare Brown 86.15.

“The feedback we receive tells us that Dunsfold Park is an ideal course to achieve personal bests with its closed flat roads and some interesting landmarks to run past plus, of course, the fun of crossing the Top Gear line.
