Twiston-Davies, who had won on Frodon for Paul Nicholls, on day, took the opener on the Southern Water-sponsored charity day on Saturday with 5/1 chance Desert Sensation, trained by Richard Newland and tipped on this website.

He was first past the post again half an hour later on the Nicholls-trained 9/4 contender More Buck’s in the MTS Cleansing Services Ltd Chase.

Twiston-Davies wasn’t the only man celebrating a double on Fontwell’s second day.

Trainer Charlie Longsdon and jockey Aidan Coleman were similarly successful. First they teamed up with Midnight Shot to victory in the feature race, the Southern Water Sporting Chance Handicap Hurdle, after going off the 7/4 favourite.

They also claimed the last, the Southern Water Learn To Swim Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race, with 9/4 shot Tinted Rose - who was also tipped on this site before racing.

Sussex pair Gary and Jamie Moore had their second win of Oktoberfest when 2/1 favourite Antony won the Southern Water “Keep It Clear” Handicap Chase.

Affarie D’Honneur won the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Novices’ Hurdle as 30/100 favourite, ridden by Gavin Sheehan for Harry Whittington, while another market leader, Unity (8/11) took the Cappagh Browne Utilities Stake Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase for Harry Cobden and Anthony Honeyball.
