Along with Tim Kneale, Scott is one of two British shooters in a strong 16-man field which contains five of the top 10 in the world rankings.

Eighth-ranked Scott will face stiff opposition from the likes of Italian duo Antonino Barilla - the world number two - and Davide Gasparini, and Russian pair Vitaly Fokeev and Vasily Mosin - the world number three.

Scott pipped Mosin in the final to claim his second European Championship triumph last year, and he also won gold at the Commonwealth Games and bronze at the ISSF World Shooting Championships in 2014.

This year, the 30-year-old came fourth at the ISSF World Cup event in Larnaca, Cyprus.
