The club is inviting people to come and have a look at what it has to offer, and plenty of Rye RFC representatives will be on hand.

A work party from the club will also continue the close season rejuvenation of its facilities as part of the nationwide NatWest Rugby Force event.

It’s all happening throughout the day, starting at 10am. There will also be a barbecue and refreshments will be available.

Rye RFC club captain Matt Cooke said: “It’s a chance for anybody interested in the club to come down, see what we’ve done and find out about our exciting plans leading up to the World Cup.

“We seem to be commanding the attention of a lot of people in the town already and we want as many people to be part of it as possible.

“We’re starting to generate a bit of momentum and a positive atmosphere as we really try to engage with the community.

“We’ve already put in a lot of hours down there and a number of work parties have been going on. A fairly substantial amount of work has been done on the interior of the clubhouse and the place is looking absolutely amazing.”
