Seaford celebrate coming second in final

SEAFORD College Girls' 1st XI are celebrating after being declared runners-up in the National Schools Hockey Tournament South Regional finals.

The team, who were beaten to first place by Kingston Grammar School, have had a hugely successful season, having won all 10 matches this term against Ardingly, Bedales, Brighton College, Churcher's, Hampshire Collegiate, Hurtspierpoint, KE Witley, Lancing, Lord Wandsworth and Portsmouth Grammar School, scoring 74 goals and conceding nine.

The school's successful campaign for the south tournament began last month in Eastbourne, where they won the Sussex round by beating St Bede's in the final. This qualified them for the National Schools Regional finals in Surbiton on November 20.
